Aquamarine

This movie is quite nostalgic for many, and while I might not share that feeling, it's undeniable that this film is a childhood classic. While some might view it as a silly film for kids, it has a lot of deeper themes expressed throughout the story. The main theme of love is persistant through the film as the main character seeks it in order to prove to her father that it truly exists. While she may not discover love in the same way as she had originally thought, she is able to prove just how strong it truly is. The power of platonic love is what carries her through the course of the film. And while the power of friendship is probably the biggest cliche in film history, it's told in a extremely sentimental way that instantly warms hearts and wins over audiences.
